“Things that are not at all, are never lost.” -Christopher Marlowe

“Oh, my friend, it’s not what they take away from you that counts. It’s what you do with what you have left.” -Hubert H. Humphrey

Heavy is the head who wears the crown, thank God it is not me.
Why then do my emotions seem to hold me down, and my heart hurt badly?

Only a few people stay, so many people leave.
It has become just another game to play, another lie I will believe.

God this is Your plan, this life I try to love.
Help me to stop thinking some man can provide what comes from above.
When I forget this truth, Lord when I fall,
The pain itself reminds me why I
give You my all.

He was despised and rejected –
a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.
We turned our backs on him and looked the other way
He was despised, and we did not care.
Yet it was our weaknesses he carried it was our sorrows that weighed him down.
And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,
a punishment for his own sins!
(Isaiah 53:3-4)

When the pressure is too much, when the world is bitter and cold,
When the others turn their backs,
Lord give me Your hand to hold.

Time means nothing to You, yet we are always staring at the clock.
You are waiting on our prayers when in trouble, but we call something else our rock.

Every day is a challenge, but to live is an art.
We need to remember that we do not run the show, we only play our part.

To let go of the things that hurt and to let God take control,
That is when we will be able to climb our way out of this hole.

We can’t carry all the heartbreaks, we can’t hold all of our tears.
God however is teaching us through these things, He has been teaching me for years.

But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper,
whose hope is in the Lord their God.
He made heaven and earth the sea, and everything in them.
He keeps every promise forever.
He gives justice to the oppressed
and food to the hungry
The Lord frees the prisoners
(Psalm 146:5-146:7)

Do not drown in your circumstances of get buried in the bitter.
It is every time that we let go and let God that we get a little better.

You are strong enough, He is there when you can’t take it.
By believing in yourself and by resting in Him, my friends that’s how you will make it!
Don’t let the pain of now define who you are later.
Don’t let lies consume your heart,
The devil is a hater.
