Even in literature and art, no man who bothers about originality will ever be original: whereas if you simply try to tell the truth (without caring two pence how often it has been told before) you will, nine times out of ten, become original without ever having noticed it.

C.S. Lewis – Mere Christianity

Hello and blessings to all of you that are reading my posts.

My name is Erica and to be honest, I should be dead, but because of my faith have managed to overcome countless adversities and have never been so alive.

Unfortunately, so many of us that are alive actually feel dead in so many ways.

I am hoping, through my ministry and the sharing of my personal journey, I can encourage those that are feeling left in a dark place by re-igniting the fire inside of them one.

One motivational post at a time.

I don’t preach, I promise! Life is tough, but God is enough and there is a purpose in your pain.

I love spreading encouraging words whether I am writing, speaking, or praying!

My past is one of drugs, manipulation, emotional abuse, loss of everything material, destroyed relationships, and even hustling older guys in Las Vegas and Oakland

I was on my own everywhere I ran, but somehow I managed to survive it all.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that the only reason I am alive today is because I have a greater purpose and I am not done yet.

That purpose ironically came out of my pain and it is to tell anyone who may be need to hear it, my raw, unedited truth.

The testimony I am sharing isn’t easy to tell anyone, especially complete strangers, but I have decided to share it anyway because God has used it to pave the way to my future and to inspire the future of others.

I do not regret a single day. It is my purposeful and powerful existence that God specifically wrote just for me! I don’t want to do much other than let you know I also have been there, smoked that, hated myself, gave my love to men who spit it on the floor… I could keep going, but that is all just the story.

The ending, the conclusion to the chaos is here. The place I connect with you. I know it’s dark if you are where I was, but don’t worry!

God has fanned the flame inside me and I am burning brightly on the behalf of others. Bringing truth to cut through the bs the enemy has used to destroy you.

The strong, the talented, the faithful, the child like, the “I used to be happy” YOU!

From the perfect life to constant strife, Ladies and Gentlemen I have been through it all. My voice is loud and I am not afraid to tell my painfully personal story if it means helping even one person avoid the very dark, very empty and very arrogant mistake of thinking you know everything only to find out later you don’t even know yourself.

I hope that my posts and radio show episodes bless those that are broken and strengthen those that have grown a little weaker than they used to be.

Enjoy ♥️ Erica D.

  4. Hmm; The hope of heaven, the knowledge that we’ll someday enjoy “peace eternal”, means we can face anything here on earth as long as we focus on the joy that’s waiting for us in heaven! Erica… while a blessing of kindness ripples outward to others, it boomerangs right back to the one who threw the pebble; Here is something that I’ve acquired the knowledge of “How far you go in life depends on your being tender W/the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and the strong — because someday in life you will be all of these!!! My hats off 2 you girl.. 🙂

  5. Thank you for sharing some of your story. I can empathise with you as I do with Job, who I think of as an old friend! After years of complex medical problems, becoming more complex by the week, literally, I take a number of prescription drugs that you would not believe. I am admitted to hospital several times a year. But through all this The Lord has been faithful to me. He has a job for me to do and with each hospital admission I have more opportunities to witness.

  7. I know exactly what you are saying. My story has sexual, mental, and emotional and some physical abuse that I carried on into my adult life with men that I chose to try and get Love from. I finally died and reached out to God. He healed me of an STD that I had for 17 years and I took a vow of Purity. I to am not ashamed of my past and can boldly share it because Jesus took my shame so I can now help others with my testimony. I love to hear stories like ours, it just shows that God is Alive over and over again and I to would not change a minute of my life (:
