Pride is a tough pill to swallow and one will choke on it every time
Pride is a tough pill to swallow and one will choke on it every time
The Word is my source of sanity on the regular
The Word is all we have to keep us on the spiritual paths we are all walking. Truth is all we need to survive in a world of lies. God is all of both
Matthew 22:37 (NKJV)
“Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
Loving God all-The-Way is His desire. As was recorded (Genesis 1-2), God made all things to serve us all-the-way! God’s creation can not serve us if we do not serve God. (Hebrews 11:40)
Over time, the infiltrations of religion and false doctrines have gradually inched towards neutralizing the Word of God, but believe this or not, it is impossible that any word of God to be unfruitful! As it is spoken, so it shall occur.
History recorded many series about God: His powers, dominions, presence, grace, deliverance, et cetera, and all these are in His name.
In such an encounter, the people of Israel (of course the Jews ) were asked to declare their choice of god to serve by their leader Joshua; “And if it seems evil to you…

A must read
It is a favorite pastime of unbelievers, especially atheists, to take jabs at Christians and rejoice when bad news about Christian churches comes out. They love to flock to news sites, especially Christian news sites, to leave their comments to mock, joke, and put down all things Christian. If Christians weren’t around for them to attack, I really believe they would see how empty their lives really are and that no matter what they do, they would find no genuine peace. Here are some statements I’ve read recently by God-haters:
In order for churches to shed their hypocrisy, homophobia, and other “negative” images, they must stop using the Bible.
The Bible is a book of fiction and Christians are weak-minded for believing it.
Worshipers are the most narcissistic, dishonest individuals to exist.
The Bible is historically inaccurate.
Religious people shouldn’t get preferential treatment just for believing in some invisible man in…

“The earth shook; The heavens also dropped rain at the presence of God; Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel. You, O God, sent a plentiful rain, Whereby You confirmed Your inheritance, When it was weary. Your congregation dwelt in it; You, O God, provided from Your goodness for the poor. The Lord gave the word; Great was the company of those who proclaimed it: “(Psalm 68:8-11 NKJV)
A friend of mine came up with the title of this one when referring to nature’s way of inspiring us when we simply observe God at work.
Thunderstorms, to be specific, are a great way to show us that what we usually look to in order to feel some kind of jolt of adrenaline or spark of passion, may actually end up leaving us with the opposite.
This world has a redundant way of taking our best while forgetting all about us in the process. If we could collect the tears cried over the unreciprocated love affair with such a world, we would drown. If we were to search for a someone to represent our aid in fighting off defeat we would notice not much of anyone would be around.
God is the difference between lack and luster. What dims our flame daily, He rekindles with grace and a loyalty unfailing. Something like this…
He is hidden in the rain that is released when our souls are in drought.
He is revealed by the winds that Toss our expectations about.
Just when we feel obsolete, maybe even bored with who we are,
He brings about the kind of storm that creates an energy inside us we haven’t felt thus far.
We will lose. Probably everything we think means so much to us by the time He is through.
He has to strip away all the mediocre to get to the best of you…
To sum it all up, sparkle amongst the darkness that tries to convince you that it’s not possible for you to shine.
Laugh at the problems and realize they are actually the solutions in time.
Let the birds show you how easy it is to be free.
Let the flowers represent how God intended us to sit and look pretty.
Nature can light up your heart like the 4th of July.
When the clouds roll in and lightning creates the sparks of excitement that fly.
The sparks you has assumed would no longer come.
Showing you God is the source of satisfaction and the ability to get the getting done.
In the same way, light up this world’s sky with who you are. Don’t fade for the fickle. Remember God is natural. He is fierce without being forceful, and it’s His idea of illumination we should consult when trying to shine through the shoddy. The shadows will run far from you quickly when He burns the way to becoming a lamp everyone can see….
If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light. (Luke 11:36 NKJV)
Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth, Who have upheld His justice. Seek righteousness, seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden In the day of the Lords anger. (Zephaniah 2:3 NKJV)
I would be lying if I said I did not wish I was famous at one time or another in my life. A published author, a princess, or a successful public figure. To be free from the day to day wrestling match with ones money, to have the things that seem to come so easily to those in the public eye.
I would also be lying if I said I still wish for all of those things today. The thing is that God has been working with me on the difference between the idea of fame and what it truly means to be a celebrity. Not by the worlds definition but HIS.
You see, once He has this lesson with you, you will be both relieved and embarrassed to find out you already are a princess. That you already have freedom from the restrictions of the world. In fact, you are rich beyond a bank accounts capacity or the things you wish for each year to be under the Christmas tree.
Sing, O daughter of Zion! Shout, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! The Lord has taken away your judgments, He has cast out your enemy. The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst; You shall see disaster no more. (Zephaniah 3:14, 15 NKJV)
In your faithfulness to Him, God has already wrapped everything you have ever needed or wanted up in pretty paper and placed a label on each box with YOUR name on them. He waits eagerly for your company to receive these gifts as they given. Be patient in your struggles and glad in your grief because the next present has your lacking inside. It is a promise. It is not by money, popularity, or accomplishments we attain our hearts desires. We will only receive 15 min of fame if signing with the world and it’s offers. On the contrary, God’s role for you lasts forever.
I will gather those who sorrow over the appointed assembly, Who are among you, To whom its reproach is a burden. Behold, at that time I will deal with all who afflict you; I will save the lame, And gather those who were driven out; I will appoint them for praise and fame In every land where they were put to shame. At that time I will bring you back, Even at the time I gather you; For I will give you fame and praise Among all the peoples of the earth, When I return your captives before your eyes, Says the Lord. (Zephaniah 3:18-20 NKJV)
See, I right now, am looking for a job. I could be afraid, full of self doubt or several other things the enemy tells me I be in order to distract me from what God’s offered me in contract.
Instead, I turn down the world’s offer of success to in turn work for God. Knowing He has my life wrapped up in pretty paper with a label with my name on it. I am excited to open the next gift because I trust what’s inside is just what I am lacking. Every day is such a gift. Believe in His ideas for your success over lies, pressure, of the highest bidder. Trust in God and I’ll guarantee HIS PAYOUT IS BIGGER.
God roars by a whisper. He shakes our souls with a breeze. He moves mountains by blinking and strikes lighting with a sneeze. Love is gentle and demonstrative. It is not loud or insinuated. Silent the storm in yourself and realize its not raining. God is our umbrella and our shelter when our problems are hailing. On what we cherish and on what we work so hard for. When we look around and no one is left as we cry on the floor. His language is felt if you are open to feeling. His grace is renewal if you are looking for healing. Be bold in your faith and gentle in your gestures. Give hugs and high fives versus put downs or lectures. A wise mans tools are in analogies and puzzles. A wise woman stays quiet knowing the silence speaks for her. Less talk and a lotta more action. That’s Christ in your life and it’s a chain reaction. Loves language is seen and It is found in His Word. Talking all of a sudden seems rather absurd. Be Christ like by being like Christ. Thats the way we will make it through these dark nights.
