The Last Trump

“The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly; it is dearness only that gives everything its value. I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress and grow.” -Thomas Paine

This world has a way of defeating us before we are even out of the gate. Our lives are spent struggling and trying time and again to just be okay.

In the reality of our faith, our trust in what we cannot see, we know that we already ARE okay. God has guaranteed us a victory over all that tries us, a truth to all who lies to us, and life to all that tries to destroy us.

One of these days, we will see the Heavens open up and see the Lord return to fulfill all He has promised. No more pain, no more suffering. He is the One who will never leave us empty.
The song Last Trump by Charismatik reflects on this very real truth:
The final trumpet will in fact sound and to those who love and know Him, will ring true to their calling back home to God in Heaven! What a joyous and anticipated day!

in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” (1 Corinthians 15:52-55 NKJV)

There is no time to labor for what pays nothing to your salvation. In a twinkling of an eye this will all be over and the Lord will come back to take back what is His. Where lies your heart? Your life should reflect the faith that when the trumpet sounds you will dance and not dash! Today is the day to reclaim your life and invest in the One who promises victory. Death has no sting to the man who lives His life for God! For more from the band Charismatik click here!

Pursuing Your Purpose

It is not by praise that we become Godly people. David was considered a man after God’s own heart, because he had  a job to do and made it happen. Very much like God. He asks us to pursue the purpose He made us for with a courageous heart and a faithful attitude.

Bishop Jakes is my personal mentor and has been for years. The video you will watch about a purpose only you can fulfill is exactly why I watch him!
God Bless

Lenny the Leaf.

This morning as I was walking by the kitchen window I notice a leaf that appeared to have blown up and gotten stuck to the hummingbird feeder.  I figured it was a remnant from some of the wind gusts during the weekend rain.   When I took a closer look, i saw that it was not a leaf, but a moth or butterfly of some sort.

Very effective camouflage, i must say.

I’ve Got Things To Do Today

My Agenda
As you start your day, your week, your mission for this time, be sure that what you are laboring for is also laboring for you! If your sick to you’re stomach a bit by the items on your TO DO TODAY, I can be a witness that I was also priority challenged and sometimes, actually, most of the time, still get lost in the world’s whirl wind of distraction.

Today, be sure to do something. Most of us work all our lives at something when really we are doing it for absolutely no reason other than it’s how it goes in this world. We are getting nothing from nothing. Put your heart and mind into something and you will get something. More than likely, what you work so hard at, but does not deliver.
God delivers. Everytime. It is the facts. Who do you work for?

To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily. (Colossians 1:29 NKJV)
